Which part the screen where ever there is room> The transducer inside or out on the transom> There should be a instruction book with it showing where and how>
Mount the screen in a place where it does not obstruct your view of the other gauges, or your fwd view. The transducer mounts on the transom, follow the directions provided, CAREFULLY! Or go to the manufacturers website. Good luck.
if you decide to mount the ‘ducer inside the boat (shoot thru hull), find a part of the hull that is solid (not sandwich-core construction), and is in the water even when the boat’s on plane – should be the lowest part of the boat near the transom, on the centerline or close to it. bilge works pretty good. use a slow-curing epoxy, so there won’t be any bubbles left when it cures.
if you put it on the transom, it has to run in smooth (not turbulent) water, around 18 inches one side or other of the motor, even with the bottom of the boat, and parallel to the waterline (won’t necessarily be “level”, with the boat on the trailer). coat the screws in 3m 5200 or some other marine adhesive sealant. don’t use regular silicone – it tends to shrink slightly as it cures.
