How can I remove barnacles off of my transponder for my fishfinder?
I have Barnacles on my transponder, I’m affraid of scraping them off. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can safely remove them without destroying my fishfinder?

If the transponder is plastic, and is sealed, you may be able to soak them off.
Their shells must be made of calcium, because this method describes dissolving them with dilute acid. As long as you don’t getit near the seal where the wires go in it, you may be OK.
